In the USA today, there’s a widespread push. This is a movement across the nation toward banning and attempting to ban books and strip libraries and school boards of their access to specific books. This pressure reflects a concerning trend that threatens the fundamental principle of freedom of speech. Of course it is not new. Most of us are familiar with the Scopes Monkey Trial of almost 100 years ago. The Tennessee legislature  disallowed the teaching of evolution. The the famous trial followed.
